Partner Ecosystem

    Channel Partners

Connect businesses with the support required for their next stage of growth.

NineOwls works with trusted organisations and professionals that understand businesses, sectors, markets, and institutional networks. Channel Partners help identify companies facing important growth, operating, transformation, or expansion challenges and facilitate an appropriate introduction to NineOwls.

Their role is not to diagnose the business, prescribe a predetermined solution, or make commitments on behalf of NineOwls. It is to recognise a credible business need, establish an appropriate connection, and support an orderly transition into the NineOwls engagement process.

    01 — The Role

Identifying credible needs and creating appropriate connections

Many businesses recognise that something is limiting their progress but may not know whether the problem is strategic or operational, which capability should be prioritised, whether they are ready to scale, or which provider or intervention would be appropriate. Channel Partners help NineOwls reach businesses that may benefit from a structured diagnostic and intervention process.

    A Channel Partner may

    • Recognise a credible business challenge
    • Understand the business context at a preliminary level
    • Explain the NineOwls approach accurately
    • Determine whether an introduction may be relevant
    • Obtain the business's consent to make an introduction
    • Register the opportunity through the agreed process
    • Facilitate the initial connection
    • Support communication and relationship continuity
    • Participate in structured institutional or market-development programmes

    NineOwls remains responsible for

    • Understanding the business context in detail
    • Conducting or directing the diagnostic process
    • Identifying underlying constraints
    • Determining the appropriate intervention
    • Defining the solution architecture
    • Selecting required capabilities
    • Establishing scope, governance, and commercial terms
    • Coordinating delivery
    • Evaluating implementation and business impact

    02 — Boundaries

Clear boundaries protect the client, the partner, and NineOwls

The Channel Partner's responsibility is to create a credible and transparent introduction — not to sell a predetermined intervention. Partners must not independently:

Diagnose the client on behalf of NineOwls
Present assumptions as confirmed business problems
Prescribe a predetermined service or solution
    Promise a particular diagnostic outcome
Guarantee that NineOwls will accept an engagement
Guarantee funding, growth, market entry, or transformation results
Define the final scope of work
    Quote NineOwls fees without authorisation
Negotiate commercial terms unless expressly authorised
Represent themselves as NineOwls employees or consultants
    Use NineOwls branding without approval
Make regulatory, legal, or financial representations on behalf of NineOwls
Submit confidential client information without consent
Introduce an opportunity while concealing conflicts of interest
Receive payments from multiple parties without disclosure
Appoint sub-agents or secondary representatives without authorisation

    03 — Partnership Models

    Three principal Channel Partner models

NineOwls recognises three principal models. Some partners may participate through more than one, subject to separate terms and responsibilities.

    04 — Referral Partners

    Introducing qualified businesses to NineOwls

Referral Partners identify businesses that may require structured support and facilitate an appropriate introduction. The relationship may be occasional or recurring, depending on the partner's network, professional role, sector, and level of engagement.

Who may operate as a Referral Partner

Independent business advisersAccountants and financial professionalsLawyers and corporate-service providersConsultants whose clients require capabilities outside their own scopeFormer executives and business leadersTechnology providersProfessional-service firmsIndustry specialistsBusiness-network leadersInvestors and deal professionalsTrusted market connectorsExisting NineOwls relationships

    What makes a credible referral

    • An identifiable business
    • A genuine business requirement
    • Access to an appropriate decision-maker
    • Basic understanding of why NineOwls may be relevant
    • Consent from the business to be contacted
    • Transparent disclosure of the partner's relationship with the business
    • Disclosure of any commercial, advisory, investment, or personal interest

A list of unqualified contact details is not considered a credible referral.

Appropriate referral situations — a business is

Struggling to identify why growth has slowed
Scaling faster than operating systems can support
    Facing recurring execution problems
Preparing for investment or institutional growth
Entering a new market or country
Experiencing pressure across finance, operations, talent, or technology
    Seeking to professionalise governance
Attempting a transformation involving several functions
Managing a major transition, restructuring, or portfolio change
Unsure which intervention should be prioritised

    05 — Institutional Partners

Supporting businesses through structured institutional programmes

Institutional Partners work with NineOwls to support a defined population of businesses connected to their institution — portfolio companies, investees, borrowers, customers, members, suppliers, franchisees, or incubated companies. Unlike an individual referral, an institutional relationship may involve a structured programme, repeatable diagnostic framework, cohort-based intervention, or ongoing support model.

How Institutional Partners may work with NineOwls

    Portfolio diagnostic programme

A structured assessment across selected portfolio or investee companies to identify operating constraints, performance risks, and capability priorities.

    Business-readiness programme

A repeatable programme assessing whether participating businesses are ready for investment, scale, institutional customers, technology adoption, or expansion.

    Supplier or distributor development

Support for businesses within a corporate supply, distribution, or partner ecosystem.

    Borrower or customer capability

Structured support for companies whose operating strength affects repayment, customer success, or long-term institutional value.

    Member-support programme

Diagnostics, workshops, advisory support, or targeted interventions made available to association or professional-network members.

    Founder and enterprise programme

A structured pathway helping founders move from informal execution towards stronger systems, governance, and operating capability.

    Expansion-readiness programme

Assessment and intervention support for businesses preparing to enter new countries, sectors, or channels.

    Role of the Institutional Partner

    • Define the business population to be supported
    • Help establish programme objectives
    • Facilitate access to participating companies
    • Support programme communication
    • Coordinate scheduling and participation
    • Provide relevant institutional context
    • Support programme governance
    • Monitor programme-level outcomes where appropriate
    • Finance or co-finance the programme
    • Help participating companies act on agreed priorities

    Role of NineOwls

    • Design the diagnostic or support framework
    • Establish assessment criteria
    • Conduct or direct diagnostics
    • Identify company-specific constraints
    • Develop intervention priorities
    • Segment participating businesses by requirement
    • Coordinate specialist capabilities where required
    • Provide programme-level reporting
    • Monitor adoption and progress
    • Protect confidentiality between the institution and participating companies

An Institutional Partner does not automatically receive unrestricted access to all diagnostic or confidential business information. Programmes define what is collected, what is shared, what remains confidential, and how conflicts are managed.

    06 — Regional & Market-Development Partners

Building trusted relationships within a defined geography or sector

Regional & Market-Development Partners help NineOwls establish visibility, relationships, and qualified opportunities within a defined country, region, industry, or business community. Their role extends beyond an occasional referral — they may support sustained market development within an agreed territory or sector.

Regional business-development organisationsCountry representativesSector-network leadersIndustry advisersProfessional-service firmsLocal enterprise organisationsChambers and trade bodiesInvestment and business networksTechnology and service companies with relevant customer basesMarket-development consultantsBusiness-community leadersRegional professional groups

    How they may contribute

    • Help NineOwls understand the local business environment
    • Identify relevant sectors and business communities
    • Build relationships with institutions and decision-makers
    • Introduce qualified businesses
    • Support local events, workshops, or executive discussions
    • Facilitate institutional partnerships
    • Support local communication and market education
    • Help adapt messaging to the market context
    • Provide feedback on market needs
    • Support opportunity qualification
    • Maintain relationship continuity
    • Coordinate approved market-development activity

    Regional partnership scope may define

    • Geography
    • Sector
    • Target-business profile
    • Opportunity-registration rules
    • Named institutions or accounts
    • Activity expectations
    • Minimum qualification standards
    • Brand and communication rules
    • Reporting requirements
    • Commercial participation
    • Duration and review criteria
    • Conflict, non-circumvention, renewal, and termination conditions

Any territory, sector, exclusivity, representation, or authority must be expressly documented. Approval as a Regional Partner does not, by itself, create an exclusive NineOwls representation or the authority to sign contracts, quote fees, or commit resources.

08 — How the Channel Partnership Process Works

    From qualification to opportunity outcome

    01

    Partner qualification

NineOwls assesses the partner's professional or institutional profile, network relevance, reputation, sector or geographic experience, relationship quality, commercial transparency, conflicts of interest, regulatory suitability, and ability to represent the NineOwls model accurately.

    02

    Partnership model selection

The most appropriate model is established — Referral, Institutional, or Regional & Market-Development. Some partners may participate through more than one model, subject to separate terms.

    03

    Orientation and enablement

Approved partners receive guidance on the NineOwls model, suitable business situations, opportunity qualification, permitted communication, introduction procedures, confidentiality, brand use, commercial boundaries, and opportunity registration.

    04

    Opportunity identification

The partner identifies a credible business need or institutional opportunity, understanding enough to explain relevance but without attempting to complete the diagnostic.

    05

    Consent and opportunity registration

The partner confirms that the business or institution is open to an introduction and registers the opportunity through the approved process.

    06

    Preliminary NineOwls review

NineOwls evaluates business relevance, apparent requirement, decision-maker access, timing, conflicts, geographic and sector fit, and whether NineOwls is the appropriate organisation to engage. Registration does not automatically mean acceptance.

    07

    Introduction

Where appropriate, the partner facilitates a direct introduction between NineOwls and the relevant business or institutional decision-maker.

    08

    NineOwls discovery and diagnosis

NineOwls determines whether a genuine business requirement exists, whether a diagnostic is required, whether the company is suitable, and what — if anything — should be proposed.

    09

    Commercial and engagement development

NineOwls defines any proposed scope, fees, terms, governance, and delivery structure. The Channel Partner participates only to the extent agreed.

    10

    Opportunity outcome and administration

NineOwls records opportunity status, attribution, commercial eligibility, payment conditions, partner involvement, responsibilities, and closure or dispute status.

    09 — Opportunity Qualification

What Channel Partners should look for

A potential opportunity is more likely to be relevant when

    • A significant business constraint is affecting growth or performance
    • The issue extends across more than one business function
    • Leadership recognises that internal execution alone may not be sufficient
    • The business is willing to provide evidence and participate in a structured process
    • An authorised decision-maker is available
    • The company has a genuine intention to act
    • The requirement is sufficiently material to justify external intervention
    • The business is open to diagnosis before solution selection
    • The engagement is legally and ethically appropriate
    • There is a reasonable route to funding the intervention

Opportunities that may not be suitable

    • Requests for a predetermined solution without proper diagnosis
    • Businesses seeking guaranteed funding or investment
    • Businesses seeking regulatory avoidance
    • Illegal or unethical activity
    • No access to decision-makers
    • No intention to provide evidence
    • Purely speculative enquiries
    • Requests that fall outside NineOwls' capability
    • Situations involving undisclosed conflicts
    • Opportunities already registered by another partner
    • Businesses unwilling to follow a structured process
    • Requests for unpaid work presented as partnership opportunities

    10 — Opportunity Registration & Attribution

    Why opportunity registration matters

Opportunity registration helps establish clear attribution, protect valid introductions, and prevent duplicate or speculative claims. It does not, by itself, create ownership.

    Registration establishes

    • Who introduced the opportunity
    • When the opportunity was introduced
    • Whether the business had an existing NineOwls relationship
    • Whether another partner had already registered the opportunity
    • What information was provided
    • Whether the business consented to the introduction
    • Whether the opportunity qualifies for commercial attribution

A Channel Partner does not permanently own

    • ·The client
    • ·The account
    • ·The geography
    • ·Every future engagement
    • ·Every company within an institution
    • ·Every business connected to its network

Attribution applies according to the agreed opportunity-registration and commercial terms.

    Registration may be rejected when

    • ·The opportunity already exists in the NineOwls pipeline
    • ·Another valid registration has priority
    • ·The contact has not consented
    • ·The information is materially incomplete
    • ·The partner cannot demonstrate a genuine relationship
    • ·The opportunity is not relevant
    • ·The registration is speculative
    • ·The opportunity involves a conflict
    • ·The partner has breached programme rules

    11 — Commercial Framework

Commercial participation differs by model and opportunity

    Possible arrangements

    • Referral fees
    • Success-based introduction fees
    • Programme-development fees
    • Institutional programme fees
    • Market-development retainers
    • Approved activity reimbursements
    • Opportunity-specific commercial participation
    • Joint programme structures
    • Revenue-sharing structures where legally permitted

    Commercial eligibility may depend on

    • Valid partner status
    • Proper opportunity registration
    • Acceptance of the opportunity by NineOwls
    • Confirmation that the partner originated or materially developed the opportunity
    • Execution of the required agreement
    • Receipt of client payment
    • Absence of dispute, refund, cancellation, or misconduct
    • Compliance with applicable laws and professional rules

    What is not guaranteed

    • A fixed commission
    • A standard percentage
    • Payment for every introduction
    • Minimum opportunity volume
    • Geographic exclusivity
    • Client ownership
    • Reimbursement of unapproved activity
    • Payment before the client pays NineOwls
    • Participation in delivery
    • A continuing commercial interest in all future work

All commercial commitments must be documented.

12 — Channel vs Capability Partners

    Different roles, complementary ecosystem

    Channel Partners
    Capability & Execution Partners
Identify and develop qualified business opportunities
    Contribute specialist or implementation capability
    Facilitate introductions
Participate in diagnosis, design, execution, or implementation
Operate under opportunity and commercial governance
Operate under delivery and quality governance
Do not diagnose or prescribe solutions
May provide defined expertise or implementation capacity
Evaluated on relationship quality, market access, and opportunity relevance
Evaluated on expertise, execution capacity, and delivery quality

An organisation may participate in both programmes, but each role must be assessed separately. A Channel Partner does not automatically receive delivery work, and a Capability Partner does not automatically receive referral fees. Where independence matters, NineOwls may separate opportunity origination from solution recommendation or partner selection.

    13 — Provided & Expected

What NineOwls provides. What we expect.

Brand & communication — partners must not

    • Modify the NineOwls logo
    • Create unapproved partner badges
    • Register websites, domains, or social accounts using the NineOwls name
    • Publish joint announcements without approval
    • Claim exclusive representation

    • Avoid sharing sensitive documents through insecure channels
    • Limit information to authorised persons
    • Delete or return information when required
    • Comply with applicable privacy and data-protection laws
    • Notify NineOwls of any actual or suspected breach

A Channel Partner should normally provide only the information required to establish whether an introduction is appropriate.

    Conflicts — partners must disclose

    • Financial interest in the referred business
    • Board or advisory roles
    • Investment relationships
    • Existing consulting engagements
    • Relationships with competing providers
    • Payments from the client or another party
    • Personal or family relationships
    • Political or government connections
    • Interest in a proposed solution provider
    • Disputes involving the business
    • Any circumstance that could affect objectivity or transparency

    15 — Partner Performance

Quality, trust, and relevance — not contact volume

Channel Partner performance may be assessed across the following dimensions. High volumes of unqualified introductions will not be treated as strong performance — NineOwls values relevance, trust, and opportunity quality over contact volume.

    Opportunity relevance
    Qualification quality
    Decision-maker access
    Introduction quality
    Accuracy of information
    Consent and data practices
    Professional representation
    Conversion quality
    Institutional relationship development
    Market-development contribution
    Compliance with programme rules
    Client and stakeholder feedback
    Conflict transparency
    Long-term relationship quality

16 — What the Programme Is Not

    Clear scope, clear expectations

    A mass affiliate scheme
    A contact-list purchasing programme
    A lead-selling marketplace
    A licence to diagnose businesses
    A franchise
    An automatic territorial representation
    A guarantee of commissions
A route to bypass NineOwls' diagnostic process
A structure for making unauthorised commitments
A mechanism for reselling NineOwls services without governance
An entitlement to confidential client or pipeline information
    A guarantee of delivery participation

    19 — Frequently Asked Questions

The Channel Partner programme in practice

Does becoming a Channel Partner authorise me to diagnose clients?

No. Diagnosis, intervention design, scope, and solution architecture remain the responsibility of NineOwls.

Can I recommend a particular NineOwls service?

You may explain the NineOwls model using approved information, but you should not prescribe a specific intervention before NineOwls understands the business requirement.

    Does registration guarantee referral fees?

No. Commercial eligibility depends on the applicable agreement, valid opportunity registration, opportunity acceptance, attribution, client payment, and programme compliance.

Can a company be both a Channel and Capability Partner?

Yes. The two roles are evaluated, governed, and contracted separately.

Can I represent NineOwls in my country?

Only when a written agreement expressly defines that authority. General Channel Partner approval does not create territorial representation.

Can I introduce businesses outside my country?

Yes, where you have a credible relationship and comply with the relevant registration and introduction process.

    Who sets the client fee?

NineOwls determines its scope, commercial structure, and fees unless another arrangement has been expressly authorised.

Can I participate in client meetings?

Yes, where your participation supports the introduction or relationship and is agreed by the client and NineOwls.

Can I receive information about the client engagement after introduction?

Only information appropriate to your agreed role and permitted by the client, applicable confidentiality terms, and data-protection requirements.

Can an individual become a Channel Partner?

Yes. Experienced professionals with credible business relationships and appropriate professional standards may apply.

    Is exclusivity available?

Exclusivity is not automatic. Any exclusive arrangement requires separate written terms and performance conditions.

Can I appoint agents under me?

Not without prior written authorisation from NineOwls.
